The summer before my oldest was about to start kindergarten we made the decision to homeschool. My husband and I were both working careers but because of flexible schedules we were able to juggle back and forth between work and homeschooling.

For 10 years I worked in the field of prosthetics providing mobile care for amputees. I loved my previous career and had a lot of freedom in my work but after a year of trying to balance homeschool and working we made the tough decision for me to stay home full time. It meant giving up a career I worked hard to build and taking a huge leap of faith with our finances.

We reside in western NC and as we go along this journey it is my goal to help other moms figure out where to start when it comes to homeschooling. I will also be sharing how me make it work on one income and all the cool family adventures western NC has to offer.
